Reflective Supervision

Supporting the Emotional Labour of Your Work

Reflective supervision is a purposeful space to pause, reflect, and make meaning of the often complex, relational, and emotionally demanding work we do in health, education, social work, early childhood, and allied sectors.

With over 28 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist specialising in infant and early childhood mental health, trauma, attachment, and neurodiversity, I offer a reflective supervision space that honours both the professional and personal dimensions of your practice.

🪞 What is Reflective Supervision?
Reflective supervision offers a relationship-based space to:

  • Think deeply about your work with clients, children, or families
  • Explore the emotional impact of your role
  • Strengthen your reflective capacity and professional resilience
  • Deepen your understanding of the relational dynamics at play in your work
  • Hold space for uncertainty, complexity, and ethical challenges
  • Celebrate growth, meaning, and moments of connection

This is not line management or performance supervision. It is not therapy. It is a dedicated, protected space that focuses on you and your work, with warmth, safety, curiosity, and compassion.

🎓 My Training in Reflective Supervision

My reflective supervision practice is grounded in rich, specialised training and decades of clinical experience. This includes:
  • Completion of the Infant-Parent Mental Health Postgraduate Fellowship Program through the University of California Davis Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Institute – a globally respected, intensive program integrating infant mental health, trauma, attachment, neurodevelopment, and reflective practice.

Completion of both Reflective Supervisory Level Training and Reflective Supervisor Mentor Training, deepening my capacity not only to provide reflective supervision, but also to support and develop others in becoming reflective supervisors themselves.

Ongoing professional development and reflective practice through AAIMH (Australian Association for Infant Mental Health), Minding the Baby®, and international networks in infant mental health and trauma-informed care.

This training is integrated with over 28 years of clinical practice, providing supervision across a range of systems and sectors including health, mental health, education, early years, and child protection. I bring a warm, attuned, relational presence to every supervisory space — holding your work with the depth and respect it deserves.
